Genetic association study between atopy susceptibility loci and subphenotypes of asthma and atopy

The aim of this project is to perform an association study of genetic variation of the thus far known asthma and atopy susceptibility loci and loci that may be found in currently ongoing asthma/allergy association studies with subphenotypes of asthma and allergy. This study serves as a first step towards understanding the heterogeneity of asthma and allergic diseases and enable researchers to select a subgroup of patients that would benefit most from specific (targeted) treatments.
