Predictors of new onset asthma in adults

This study aims to identify predictors of (specific subtypes) of incident adult-onset asthma.

Specific research aims

1. To identify predictors of incident adult-onset asthma.

2. To identify predictors of incident adult-onset asthma subtypes.

3. Within subjects with incident adult-onset asthma (subtypes), to identify clusters of (early) characteristics.

a) As part of an ongoing PhD project on “nutrition and asthma”, a specific part of the study will focus on predictors related to nutritional intake and status.

b) To explore abovementioned questions in subjects with incident onset asthma at elderly age.
